São Paulo, January 03, 2023 – Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, a Crop Care holding company, was recognized with the Mais Integridade Seal, provided by the Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA), for its performance in the 21/22 cycle.
Agrobiológica won the award in the “Green Seal” modality, which identifies the companies that receive it for the first time. For the cycle 22/23, it plans to get the “Yellow Seal” version, granted to companies that already had the certification before.
“This is the 5th edition of the Mais Integridade Seal. Besides being a public and free recognition, it is only granted to companies that have a robust and active Integrity Program, directed to social responsibility practices, sustainability and ethics”, explains Marcelo Pessanha, CEO of Crop Care.
“The Mais Integridade Seal evidences our effective Compliance work, since the evaluation criteria are divided into three pillars: Anticorruption, Social Responsibility and Sustainability. This means that Agrobiológica acts in accordance with the good practices inspected by MAPA, repudiates any form of corruption, moral or sexual harassment, as well as not incurring in adulteration or falsification of products, not having labor processes related to child or slave labor, among other infractions,” says Renata Solera, Legal and Compliance director of the holding.
For Rafael Garcia, current Director and founder of Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, this is a great achievement, not only for the company, but also for society as a whole. “Our clients can have total assurance that our internal policies, our products and conduct are 100% safe and free of illegal practices. It is a big step for the company and for the development of an increasingly sustainable agriculture”, he says.
Garcia also reinforces the importance of a strong and effective Compliance policy within companies. “As it is a key criterion in the evaluation of the More Integrity Seal, it is necessary to ensure that all guidelines are in accordance with current legislation. This is a great achievement for Agrobiológica and its collaborators,” concludes the executive.
In addition to the Mais Integridade Seal, in June 2022, the company won the Cadastro Agroíntegro, also provided by Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA), which values the effective initial actions of agricultural companies and cooperatives that demonstrate the implementation of practices of integrity, ethics and transparency, even if in an initial phase.
