São Paulo, December 14, 2021 – Lavoro, the largest distributor of agricultural inputs in Latin America, has just launched the Minha Lavoro app. Innovative in the industry, the App arrives at a time of intense digital transformation in the field, leveraged, above all, by the pandemic. According to the Brazilian Precision Agriculture Commission (CBAP), 67% of Brazilian farms have already adopted some form of technological innovation. In this high-tech scenario, the Minha Lavoro app comes to provide even more protagonism to farmers.
In just a few taps on the screen, Lavoro customers will have access to diversified products and services offered by the CompreLavoro marketplace, in addition to being able to monitor their credit status, their consumption and order history, request advance payments, have access to pay slips, field monitoring reports, technical information, pre-quoting for products and digital packing lists. Additionally, services such as weather forecast, exchange rates, grain values and news from the agribusiness world are further App features.
“Productivity increases, greater control in management and cost and waste reductions, in addition to the implementation of more sustainable processes, are some of the benefits that technology can provide to farmers. Today, there are farms that are 100% remotely monitored, through systems controlled by computers and smartphones. In this intense digitalization scenario, the Minha Lavoro app attempts to fill a relevant gap, as it gives farmers the necessary autonomy to make quick and safe decisions without leaving their property”, highlights Marcelo Abud, CEO for Lavoro.
Unprecedented in the market, the Minha Lavoro app has yet another new offering: LIA, a virtual assistant created exclusively for the project and that will provide a better experience in users’ digital journey. “Artificial intelligence can be a great ally for agribusiness. LIA will provide agility and a better user experience, enabling farmers to seek customized solutions to their demands”, explains Ruy Cunha, COO for Lavoro in charge of the project.
The launch of the application, however, does not replace in-person customer service, which is essential for the specific demands of farmers, such as technical guidance on management and cultivation. “Lavoro has a team made up of over 800 technicians and agronomists throughout Latin America who are highly qualified to meet all the needs of our customers in loco. The app will generate even more dynamism and efficiency in this dialogue with our customers”, adds Cunha.
