Lavoro opens new store in Paraná

Continuing its business expansion agenda in Brazil, Lavoro, the first Latin American agricultural inputs distributor to have its shares listed on the Nasdaq, the American stock exchange, has just opened a new store in Paraná, now in the municipality of Vera Cruz do Oeste.

Lavoro’s operations in the region are the result of a merger with the Pitangueiras Group, founded in 1990 in Curitiba (PR). The business was one of the first acquired by the company in the south of the country, which has around 27 stores throughout the state. In the Southern Cluster (PR/SC/RS), Lavoro is also present through the companies Denorpi, Deragro, Futuragro, Futuragro Florestal, Realce, Plena, Casa Trevo, CATR, Sollo Sul, Dissul and Referência.

“The opening of the new unit is not only aimed at expanding our brand, but also at local development, by providing a quality service for the region’s producers, as well as contributing to job creation,” says André Rupel, Head of Lavoro’s Southern Cluster.

The product portfolio includes seeds, fertilizers, specialties, biologicals and pesticides. “As well as customers from Vera Cruz do Oeste, we also expect to serve farmers from Céu Azul, São Pedro and Ouro Verde,” says Rupel.
