The company’s goal is to consolidate its presence in Latin America by offering products and services that bring more and more knowledge, technology and sustainable practices to all rural producers in the region.
Lavoro, the first agricultural inputs distributor in Latin America to have its shares listed on Nasdaq, the American stock exchange, under the tickers “LVRO” and “LVROW”, achieved the net revenue of BRL 9.39 billion in fiscal year 2024, between July 2023 and June 2024, a slight increase on fiscal year 2023. In 4Q24, consolidated revenue rose 8%, to BRL 1.41 billion, compared to the same period last year.
According to Ruy Cunha, Lavoro’s CEO, among the main highlights of the period is Crop Care‘s net revenue, which grew in 97% to BRL 103.9 million in 4Q24, led by the strong performance of UnionAgro, a business dedicated to specialty fertilizers, with a 46% increase in revenue in the quarter; and Perterra, which sells post-patent chemical agricultural inputs
In the company’s most recent financial results release, held on October 31, 2024, Cunha commented: “Last year was one of the most challenging periods for Brazilian agribusiness in the last decade, with the retail market for agricultural inputs estimated to have decreased by more than 20%. Lavoro navigated through these turbulent conditions, gaining market share by focusing on controllable factors and leveraging its scale and verticalized business model. The Crop Care segment had good performance, considering the remarkably challenging conditions for specialty inputs in the Brazilian market.”
Lavoro has more than 220 stores in Brazil and Colombia and more than 1,000 Technical Sales Representatives (RTVs). Around 77,000 customers are serviced through Lavoro’s presence in the main agricultural regions of Latin America. The company’s coverage includes the Brazilian states of the Centre-West (Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás), North (Tocantins, Pará and Rondônia), Northeast (Maranhão), Southeast (São Paulo and Minas Gerais) and South (Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina), as well as the main agricultural regions of Colombia and Ecuador.
Among the acquisitions and mergers carried out since 2017 are the following companies: Grupo Gral, Lavoro Agrocomercial, Pitangueiras, Impacto, Agrovenci, Agrocontato, Agrovale, AgSe, Fertilyser, Produtec, Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, Central Agrícola, Denorpi, Deragro, Futuragro, Realce, Plenafértil, Florestal, Integra, Qualicitrus, América, Cultivar, Cenagro/Cenagral, Produttiva, UnionAgro, AgroZap, Nova Geração, Floema, Provecampo, Casa Trevo, CATR, Sollo Sul, Dissul, Cromo Química, Referência Agroinsumos and Coram.
Throughout all of Latin America, there are already more than 3,500 employees. For three consecutive years, the company has been certified by GPTW (Great Place To Work) as one of the best Brazilian agribusiness companies to work for. The company is also a signatory of the Brazil Pact for Business Integrity, an initiative led by the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU).
Lavoro also maintains a solid agenda of support for social institutions and projects. A member of the Brazil Global Compact Network since April 2021, the Lavoro Group has made commitments to sustainable development goals. Its management is geared towards building a positive legacy, in an ethical and friendly manner for people and the environment, considering environmental, social and governance aspects in all its operations.

Innovative products and services
Lavoro has a robust portfolio, including its own specialty brand: Essenziale. With five product lines, Plantae, Vegetae, Florae, Produze and Performe, Essenziale is able to meet all production cycles in the field, from planting to harvesting. The brand serves a variety of crops, including cotton, rice, coffee, sugar cane, beans, vegetables, corn, soybeans, wheat, among others. “With Essenziale, rural producers have inputs developed with cutting-edge technology at their disposal, which will help them achieve higher yields with less impact on the environment. We expect these products, which are considered essential, to make up more than 10% of our shelf mix over the next few years,” says Cunha.
In the segment of agricultural insurance solutions, Lavoro has partnerships with Brasilseg, an insurance company belonging to the BB Seguros group, BTG Pactual, Allianz Seguros and Corretora de Seguros Alper.
Still as part of its strategy to expand its portfolio of services across the country, in June 2023 the company signed a partnership with the German startup Stenon, developer of an innovative technology called FarmLab, which enables real-time soil analysis, something unprecedented in Latin America. Another innovation in the area of services was the launch of a partnership with the American company Pattern Ag, which delivers solutions for analyzing diseases, pathogens and nutritional deficiencies in a predictive way, thanks to an unprecedented genetic sequencing technology based on soil DNA analysis.
Lavoro is also a benchmark in Barter operations in the field. The Soja Certa 2.0 campaign, for example, ended with impressive figures. Even with the drop in commodity prices observed during the period of the action (from February to May 2024), the company transacted more than 533,000 tons of grain, around nine million bags of soybeans, surpassing the BRL 1.2 billion mark in new contracts.
“Lavoro will continue supporting the delivery and adoption of innovative and intelligent agricultural products, services and technologies to Latin American farmers, helping them to increase production without greater use of essential resources such as land, water and energy. Lavoro’s listing on Nasdaq offered greater visibility and the opportunity to have an even larger contribution to continue realizing our main goal: to help make Latin America a global breadbasket, always thinking about food security and sustainability,” concludes Lavoro’s CEO.
